Minnesota's largest children's hospital group has resumed gender-related care for minors. This followed a federal judge blocking Trump's attempt to deem the treatment unsafe.

Children's Minnesota suspended services in February. This occurred after the health secretary issued guidelines stating this care falls outside medical standards. The hospital resumed services on 6 April after Judge Mustafa Kasubhai ruled. He stated the government had overstepped its authority. In Minnesota, this care remains legal under state law.

"We want to provide medically sound care to transgender and gender-diverse youth," Children's Minnesota stated. "This aligns with our vision of helping families raise healthier children."

The US federal government attempted this year to prevent funding this care. President Trump signed an order allowing federal funding cuts to hospitals. This threatens to reduce services nationwide, even in states where care is legally permitted. Doctors and transgender youth advocates warn hospitals may need to cut essential treatments.
